Researchers say ((having a purpose)) in life may add to your lifespan, regardless of what goal you are pursuing. The results of studies by American and Canadian researchers in this field have been published in the journal (Psychological Science).
The study was conducted on seven thousand people in America who were 20 to 75 years old. During this study period, the physical and mental health of the individuals was assessed, and their having a purpose in life was evaluated based on how much they agreed with these three sentences:
1- Some of them spent time aimlessly.
2- They turned morning into night and did not think about the future.
3- Some felt that they had done everything they had to do in life.
4- After 14 years, they found that having a purpose increases lifespan, even at times when factors such as negative emotions took shape in them.
